Lad Named Felix™ is an eccentric jewelry line begun in 2009 by yours truly - Jason P. Pike.
The line is inspired by the mundane, by found objects, steampunk and neo-Victorian aesthetic, antique curios, dolls, and vintage odds and ends. I try and toss a bit of a modern edge alongside it all for sparkle. Sarcasm, anarchy, and a sharp wit might also play a part.
I'm something of a smart-mouthed, flashy-trashy Chicagoan creative type with lots of aces up my sleeves and a lot of irons in the fire. A professional makeup artist (jasonppike.com) and a jewelry designer, an amateur sculptor, a writer, photography enthusiast, and a reluctant-though-damn-good karaoke singer, I have big crazy dreams of seeing my work appreciated by those of like mind, spirit, and style. I believe in self-expression wherever I can find it, and hope the art I create inspires the same. I change my mind constantly, and have the attention span of a ferret - a personality trait I believe shows through in the design and variety of my pieces.
